Now that you have assessed what your skin type is, let's look at what your daily, weekly and monthly skin care routine should be...
Cleansing:
This removes makeup, direct and grease from the skins surface and required for all skin types. A good cleanser can be anything from a mild soap (we recommend goats milk soap as it is moisturising), a gently exfoliant, or a floral wash to a rich crea of foaming cleanser. Whichever cleansing process your prefer always apply it with the tips of your fingers, using small circular motions to gently spread the cleanser over the surface of the skin. When ready, rinse off with warm water and then using a towel, pat the skin dry.
Toning
After cleansing apply a toner, this will remove any left over makeup or oil residues and tone and prepare the skin for moisturiser. An effective toner will leave your skin feeling dewy fresh and this will enable it to better absorb the moisturiser. Select a toner that corresponds to the way your skin feels, never use toners containing alcohol as they will cause the skin to become dry and irritated.
Moisturise
Use a product containing fixed oils - such as macadmia, avocado, apricot or butters etc, these will help prevent moisture loss and help the essential oils added to your cream absorb into the skin.
We recommed a light moisturiser in the morning and at night a rich cream that suits your skin type. Don't forget it is not just your face you using this routine on, you are using it on your neck and decolletage as well.
When applying Missai Naturals moisturiser, you only need to apply a very small amount and this will be quickly absorbed by your skin, if you wake up in the morning and your skin feels greasy, you have applied to much moisturiser, so make a mental note to apply less the next night.
